Living in Southern California, we are blessed with a wide variety of terrain and settings to host beautiful outdoor weddings. From the beach to the mountains, there is never a lack of stunning outdoor spots. With any al fresco setting, it is important to create a floral design that complements (not competes with) your surroundings. Different settings require different floral recipes, but that doesn't ever mean sacrificing beauty and elegance.
For this styled shoot, we created an elevated woodsy and natural feel based on our setting - Big Bear Lake. Sticking true to our setting, we used Silver Dollar Eucalyptus and Pine cones from the surrounding forest to line the ceremony site. We incorporated other natural elements like Scabiosa pods, Millet, succulents, Thistle, Pepperberry and enriched it with dark Calla lilies, Kangaroo Paw, Dahlias and hanging Amaranthus. To lighten it up, we added some peach garden roses and ornamental Kale to create a soft and romantic vibe.
